“Great facilitation and brilliant sense of humour! A light touch but serious matter.” ~ Satish Kumar

Chapel of Love exists to connect humanity more deeply with themselves, each other and the land.

We create communal ceremonies designed to deepen connection, belonging and care. Our ceremonies is accessible, scalable and full of light.

Whether the audience is intimate or large, we weave in music, ritual, sing-alongs and comedy in an unforgettable way.

In the last year, thousands of people have enjoyed our ceremonies including 4,500 at Glastonbury Festival; 2,500 at Shambala Festival and a few B-corp companies.

The question we’re exploring is:

Can contemporary communal ceremonies cultivate deeper care for ourselves, humanity and the natural world? And could this lead to more inspired action?

Chapel of Love is led by interfaith minister, Samantha Moyo. 2x TEDx speaker and founder of Morning Gloryville, a global wellbeing movement that reached 200,000 people across 23 cities.

As seen on BBC, Channel 4, CNN, NBC and more.

Let’s get together and feel alright.

Research

Chapel of Love is developing a longitudinal cross-cultural research programme exploring how large-scale communal ceremonies may cultivate meaning-making, belonging and care.

Working with academic collaborators, the project will investigate whether shared ceremonial experiences contribute to lasting changes in how people relate to themselves, one another and the natural world.

Our Ceremonies

At the heart of Chapel of Love is a belief that in loving ourselves deeper, we are inspired to care for others and the natural world even more.

Our signature experience is a 60–90 minute communal ceremony designed for contemporary life.

Similar in spirit to a wedding, participants publicly commit to caring more deeply for themselves, each other and the natural world.

The ceremony weaves together music, prayer, humour, storytelling, call-and-response, collective singing and communal witness. It is open to people of all faiths and none.

The result is something that is beautiful, emotional, full of depth and exactly the right amount of silly. Participants leave having made a public vow to show up differently for themselves and the world.

We observe that the magic happens in the moment their vows are witnessed by everyone in the room.

Chapel of Love Signature

To celebrate the UK’s leading independent festival, Shambala’s 25th Anniversary, we re-named our signature experience and worked with the team to create something truly magical.

2500 ppl showed up in field, to get married to themselves, each other and the land.

“After 25 years of being silly in a field together, it’s time we made it official, took our relationship to the next level and made honest peeps out of you all. That’s right. We’re ALL getting married. At once. To ourselves!”

Our Big Phat Green Wedding

We tested an “adult version” of our experience at Wilderness Festival.

Chapel of Love and Mischief, is a high-octane sunday service of live confessions, sing-alongs and wild cabaret. After a weekend of mischief, festival-goers came to share their confessions. This version of our ceremonies aims to alleviate social shame and guilt through the power of theatre, group participation and comedy.

The naughtier you’ve been, the more likely you are to get into “the pearly gates of heaven” !

Participants reported a shift in confidence and less judgements towards themselves and others.

Magical Moments

We co-curate magical moments with leading cultural spaces, conferences and B Corp companies that open hearts and minds.

Our magical moments are designed to equalise and harmonise humanity through powerful conversations; large-scale participatory moments or mass rituals that amplify connection, belonging and that awareness of “something more”.

  • Chapel of Love is nothing short of alchemical. In a world desperate for connection, this experience offers a portal back to self-love. I witnessed defenses soften, laughter emerge, and tears of recognition. Marrying oneself is no gimmick, it’s a declaration of wholeness, a celebration of the sacred within. It was an honor to experience and share in this. I trust that the ripple effect will be enormous.

Andy Chaleff - Acclaimed American Author

  • This gift of marrying people to themselves is what we all need right now: a reminder to reconnect to our inner knowing, our higher consciousness, and therefore, our highest ability to contribute to the world in this lifetime. I am excited for Samantha to bring this experience to many millions of people around the world. I hope you get to experience it too! Please come to Boulder, Colorado.

  • One of Life’s great challenges and opportunities is that of being able to love oneself. Or we all know that being able to love oneself is the first step towards being able to truly love others. In so many cases this is a supercharge. What Sam does with her chapel of love is truly a gift for one and all.
